Jun came to Korea and didn’t knew a single korean word. The only way he communicated with the members is making them food before they go to middle school. He spent all his days learning Korean. Him and the members were so amused thinking about it, how jun endured those days. The8 also, he came to korea without any single knowledge of korean. He rely on Junhui a lot. He said jun and him are completely opposite personality but when he’s with jun, he felt comfortable and home. The8 said he endured his trainee days because he has jun. (I know it still makes me cry as a fan since pre debut) Joshua is Korean- American so he knew a bit of korean and had to re-learned it in Korea. he also attends korean church in LA where he plays guitar there.

For example, Jun seemed to take on the motherly role predebut and made the members sandwiches when they were going to school. 🥹

In fact, on a different show after this, Na PD thanked him for that, saying the staff member felt so bad and so awkward but because he immediately joked about it, the focus shifted and everyone just laughed and carried the joke. He's such a sweet rascal 😂

Minghao was the last member to join, just about a year before they debuted and I'm sure it was quite a struggle at such a young age
