You did it! Went completely insane and helped us reach our previous Patreon Goal, unlocking a numbered and signed inmate certificate for all Patrons (who were in the Asylum when we hit that goal). Yay!
Check out Alex's work thus far...
I'm talking with him about the back of the certificate and have suggested:
A semi-copy of the format seen here, but with space for a number, name, and my signature. That would fill the card back from side to side (as opposed to the offset presentation seen on the "Alice" side of the card).
What do you think?
And... would you be OK if I *didn't* write individual names on each card? Asking because, well, that's a lot of names to write! Simply numbering and autographing is going to be a multi-hour task. Also trying to transcribe names while ensuring accuracy and legibility...

While we're on the topic of Patron Rewards... great progress is also being made on the next reward - Embroidery Patches inspired by Alice! Check this out...
These will be produced as physical embroidered patches and presented on an illustrated card back-plate. A special 10th patch exclusive to Patrons is also in the works, so you'll receive the 9 shown above plus an extra that will be exclusive to you here on Patreon.
In order to be eligible for these patches you'll need to be at the $5 (or higher) pledge level during the month when we hit the 1000 Patron Goal. We're currently at ~770 Patrons, so we've got a little ways to go... but you can help us hit the goal more quickly by spreading word of this via your social media channels and among all your insane friends and family.

For the certificates, if you were at $2 and above the month we hit the 555 goal (January 2018 - AKA Patrons who were charged in early February), then you are eligible to receive a certificate. hope you made it. i was late to patreon so i did not qualify for it myself.

The certificate is great, it's a good job, it would be very good to have the name and the number in the certificate, but I know that it must be a very complicated task to have to write so many names, so the ideal would be to write only the number of the certified, and leave a blank space for us to sign it.

I believe most creatures would not mind certificates numbered without name, for the understanding in what you speak, with limited time, what matters is the progression of your work and the beauty of what is to come in time. I love the patches! Most adorable and very well done!

I’ll be getting a name change in a few months so it would actually be better to me to either have the blank space or just numbered...

Seems there's no good way to "parallelize" the work; or maybe it just wouldn't feel as authentic (to you or the patrons) if it weren't written by you, personally. Either way, I can respect that. Maybe leave a space for the patrons to write their own names? Also, LOVE the certificate! <3

Leaving a space for someone to write their own name would be cool plus it'll be less time consuming for you and it could make a perfect gift if they wanted to give it to someone else by having their name on it. It IS a lot of cards to write. Maybe you could name the cards of Patreons at a certain tier or Patreons who supported for, say, a minimum of six months. That seems a fair way to cut down the numbers. The patches look awesome and I can't wait for the goal to be reached! Mentally, I've already sewed them on to everything. Excited about the 10th exclusive patch! Is it a Lulu patch, maybe? :D

Send a survey to all eligible patrons and ask whether they want a space for their name OR have it as originally intended. Then print the certificates for that exact number for the name space AND the exact number for the original. As for the patches, they look great! I want to point out that Cheshire Cat's eyes should be fixed so that the slit pupil does not curl and look like it is part of his tattoo/markings.

Unfortunately, we can only offer these to Patrons who were "in the asylum" at the time we reached the goal of 555 (and were processed at the end of that month). Selling them would destroy the concept of exclusivity upon which the goal/reward were pitched.

I imagine your hand would be eternally formed into some some kind of awful claw shape by the end between your signature the numbering and everyone's names haha. Though having our own names on it would be rad. The customize yourself part would definitely take care of that and you wouldn’t lose your hand in the process!

What I'm trying to say is, I'd prefer something that, on one side, at least, looks like a simple, legitimate, personal (name or not) certificate that I could put on display anywhere. If the design including Alice's details was on the other side of that, then I'd be all for that.

2018-03-14 03:17:11 +0000 UTCI don't know if I've ever been quite so excited to be officially processed into an asylum...and while a name, number, and a date of admission set to whenever you started pledging would be amazing, I don't think anybody wants your hand to fall off (I hope)...so unless all that other information can be pre-printed on the form and the number and signature are like a doctor signing off on what the nurses already filled out, a number and signature would be more than cool enough on their own!
