Added 2022-08-23 03:27:01 +0000 UTCI respect Louis CK's intellect a lot. I really like what he says here about fame, and choosing to focus on the positives of what happened to him here. Accepting the realities of the world, and how this can benefit you, is something I wish we could hear more of. Fame and attention is really not what you think it is. We will all be humbled eventually. Best to recognize it, and be aware of it.

Thanks for pointing me to an awesome new YouTube channel to follow! I think "cancelling" gets blown out of proportion. CK won a Grammy in 2022 for his latest Comedy album, if that's cancelled, I want in! Louis CK admitted to "wielding his power irresponsibly" and apologized. I forgave him. The lesson we can all take away from that is don't take your kinks to work. NFL QB Deshaun Watson got suspended for 6 games which is 2 more games than QB Ben Roethlisberger got for his multiple sexual assault allegations in 2010. I call that progress for the NFL 😂

Even if it could be said that he “abused his power” in some ways, he still doesn’t deserve permanent exile, and I’m glad he talks about it. I always liked Chappelle’s line that CK’s career “died in a horrible masturbation accident.”

2022-08-24 07:16:51 +0000 UTCI mean...I don't even think he really did anything wrong. From what has come out, he has always asked permission with whatever kinks he had. The women who outted him, were consenting adults in the moment, but then went and told the public how weird and creepy it is. So...In my view, based on what has been released...he did nothing wrong. But I'm so so glad that the humiliation is something he grew and learned from. Even if he did something wrong...this is for me, a proper way to handle it and bounce back.

What he did was clearly wrong but compare his situation to Deshaun Watson, an NFL player with like 27 sexual assault allegations. He got a 6 game suspension and a trade he wanted. But Watson is one of the faces of a corporation that owns a day of the week in the US, and CK is just a comedian. Idk, I might just be throwing out a bullshit comparison but CK’s situation is so odd to me

I hope he keeps trying to be transparent and open about his feelings. That’s hard to do, because at a certain point, he knows that is just a performance as well. Life is hard, haha.
