I have been living with my relatives in Norway for 3 months now. You won't believe how difficult it is to rent a separate apartment. I couldn't even imagine it. Firstly, in Norway there is a strange tradition of making an apartment in the basement of an old house and renting it out to refugees. I don't want to live in a basement, so I've already turned down offers of housing twice. I'm trying to rent an apartment in a normal building above ground and with windows, but I keep running into obstacles. I have already been refused several times because they do not want to rent out housing to visitors, they want proof that I have a permanent job, they want a security deposit of 4000 €, they want to rent an apartment for at least a year, they do not want to write in the contract 2 amounts for renting an apartment 1150 € and separately indicate additional costs (garage, electricity, internet, TV, heating). under the terms of granting asylum to Ukrainians in Norway, I cannot rent an apartment for more than 1150 € without additional costs, but for some amazing reason, everyone who rents out housing lists all the costs in one amount and is afraid to share them.
