Announcements (& Progress)

Hey Squad, been doing a lot of work behind the scenes. But, I'm really trying to focus on finishing Macrophage within the next 3 months - This will be the first time I attempt to use Anime shading in a game project, so there are A LOT of "unknown" variables we'll be rapidly encountering as next month approaches. I'm still not entirely sure how well the environment and special effects are going to mesh with our experimental shader in Unity. But, I guess we'll cross those bridge when we get there lol.

In the meanwhile, I'm going to try and finish all of the weapons in between tutorials this month. The gameplay is going to be extremely simple, however, I really want to offer players some level of weapon loadout customization in order to add a bit of depth to the gameplay. Part of the main fun for the game will be trying out different weapon combinations, and seeing which ones you enjoy and feel most comfortable with.

So far, I've planned for her to have a modest array of possible armaments. There are 3 types of weapons, Arm Weapons (pistols, rifles), Back Weapons (Cannons, Rockets, Missiles, Heavy Artillery's),  and Shoulder Weapons (Auxiliary, Support, Gimmicks)

I've actually already completed the 3D models for most of the weapons. The hard part is preparing the texture maps in our new square UV mapping style. That is by far the most time consuming part, but I think it will look pretty good once the whole set is complete. Here's what the pistol UV map looks like so far. Haven't created the AO yet, but the Albedo is more or less complete - Next tutorial is also underway, so I'll be releasing that soon and hope you look forward to it :)
