The gameplay footage looks fun. Some strong armored core vibes.

So the array does not transfer to Unity/Unreal 'cleanly'. Like technically it's possible, but that's not really a problem - If I was going to program her tail in, I would do it in 2 steps. She would normal bone/weight painted tail and I would give her a few animations the same way you'd animate a tail for a furry or something. But, I would program the tail attacks in the game. This would be done with a 'bone OVERIDE', which gives us the ability to move the tip of the tail any way we want. It's actually much easier to control the tail in programming, because I can give it algorithms to launch at the enemy like a spear, and apply 'chain-like' movement for second motion.

how does that tail translate into unity/unreal? as its animation and array info is based on blender modifiers, do you loose that ability to animate it through the hooked tail bone? Do you loose the tail entirly unless you apply the mods when you transfer? I've got alot more questions brewing on that same subject, but ultimatly it comes down to how youd transfer that animation across, or if it's trapped in Blenders modifiers.
