Well, this was for sure not my favorite reaction to watch... it actually angered me... a lot. I yelled and cussed like a sailor the entire way through😶I know that your coming into each episode the way I did the first time around... no knowledge about the truth behind the scene. The truth is... Alyssa Milano and Shannon Dorehty had issues with one another the entire time they worked together. Same with Alyssa and Rose Macgowan. Poor Holly was the one in the middle, just like in the show. Holly and Shannon had been friends before the show, so it must had been hard for her to watch all that went on. Shannon knew she wasn't going to make it to season 4, it was more her choice to leave... she even got to direct the second to last episode, hence the reason she really wasn't in it much. This wasn't Shannon's first time having issues with co-workers btw. On the set of Beverly Hills, 90210 she made enemies all around her, it wasn't until recent years she and others could even talk... after her cancer diagnosis and recovery. Rose still really dislikes Alyssa though. She makes that perfectly well known. You would always say that these girls all had great chemistry... actually, they are all just great actresses. None of us know these women personally... none of us know what they have done from start to finish... I only know one thing. Charmed has always, and WILL always be my number one favorite show of all time. I don't watch and think about what COULD have happen behind the scenes, I think of what it is I AM watching and love what it is I am watching. I am also a fan of all the actor and actresses in the show, from season 1, episode 1 to the season 8 finale. Yes, I remember being confused the first time around, but that just made me want to know what was going on and listen... something I know not EVERYONE is ok with doing. BTW... what the hell are you watching? After s3, we had not been able to see Shannon Doherty due to the fact that if they showed her face in anything after s3 they would have to pay her for it. We didn't get all those images like in here your getting... its weird to see. This was announced right off the airing of s4 btw... I'm not SPOILING information just stating what was announced when aired. Hopefully you get used to Page soon... aside from season 3, I actually prefer the next 5 seasons.

This is the one thing I knew about this show before watching it is that Shannon Doherty left at some point and Rose McGowan took her place. I love Rose for her work in Scream and Jawbreaker so I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with her as Paige. That being said I didn't like this episode, they didn't handle Prue's death well in my opinion, but according to the comments, this is an edited episode so I'll have to look for the unedited version.

Doesn't matter, that's what they're doing whether that's their intention or not. We are letting Devlin know that his source isn't trustworthy. Again - Devlin has not seen the show, he is not aware of the changes so no if he's not told up front this is a fan edited version there is no option to it. Stop defending this.

I don't think the person who edited the episode intended to manipulate or cause malice. It seems Devlin trusts the source of the episodes and he has the option to decide if things need to change.

The edit was put over top of the entire funeral scene. It covered all of the audio. This is Devlin’s first watch. The place for fan edits is Youtube.

Welcome to Charmed 2.0 I would have liked the episode to be different (to show how things went down after Shax left the house in season 3) and focused solely on Prue (introduce the new sister in the next episode). It was going to be difficult to rebuild a show without its main character; I think they did a decent job. --- Personally I knew about Shannen Doherty's departure before starting to watch the show, so it wasn't much of a shock. And as an unpopular opinion, I liked Prue's funeral edits. When you grieve, you go back and remember all the moments you had with that person. It helped me visualize what Piper or Phoebe might be thinking.

Great reaction as per usual, but I feel it was ruined by the editing of the episode, Recaps and scenes that didn't exist and even the funeral was completely replaced compared to it's original counterpart. Can whoever is editing just leave Devlin watch the original broadcast on his first watch through? I'd say I look forward to your next reaction but we shall see. I've PM'd you Devlin.

Amazing reaction as always... My favorite character in this show is Paige and I couldn't waiit for you to get here ㋡. Rose McGowan is amazing in the show and IRL. Im sure you will love this season once it really gets going, can't hardly wait for more ㋡

Honestly i was confuse back then when i saw this episode too , but it make sense too , if you watch closly Prue was bleeding from her head not piper & piper was the first one to wake up when Leo came to heal them at the beggining of the last episode of S03 & at the End Phoebe was not in the House to call Leo for help , so maybe Leo came a little too late (because if you remember Phoebe have ask Cole to make sure to Warn Prue & Piper about the demon attack) but they didn't do it & Prue Died because it was too late to heal her . Honestly i love all the girls, Paige is Good too of course at first she will be new in this world so .... & Piper will be the New Big Sister & Phoebe the Middle one so it will be hard for all of them to find their place & you can see that it will change them a little too . (& Shannon Dorothy who plays Prue wanted to leave the show because she've some conflict with Alyssa Milano (Phoebe) for a while & She was Maybe not too much interested by the Show Anymore (She's Still really close to Holly Mary Combs (Piper) Now because they was friend Before Charmed & Still are now) & The conflict between Shannon & Alyssa is really well known. Anyway i Hope you will give Paige a Chance ( i'm sure you will love her personnage too later ) the season 4 is not the best of the show but it have really interesting thing in it . & The Show will still give you a lot, lot of surprise, you will love it ) Can't wait to see your reaction to it

I will say though that my favorite season (7) and some of my favorite episodes are ahead, so i really hope you will give it an honest chance, cause imo it is so worth it. I understand your reaction though, but i hope that you will push through and give it a chance! It’s my favorite show of all time and I think you will love so much stuff that’s coming. And ps, i agree with all comments above. I don’t know why anyone would ever edit this episode that heavily, but it absolutely ruined many scenes and made your experience even worse. I almost wish you could rewatch without the heavy editing, but that might be too much. But I hope you can watch the original episodes from now on. Like amanda p said: this show never have recaps or flashbacks like that ever. I always cry at the funeral scene in this episode but didn’t here because of the editing

The actress who played prue directed the season three finale so that it would make sense for any one of sisters to die since there was conflict between the actresses. She has also explained, I believe, that she was young and got bored of shows she was in very quickly. She alledgedly had conflict with the showrunners as well so prue was the sister that died.

Shannon Dorothy who plays Prue wanted to leave the show because she've some conflict with Alyssa Milano (Phoebe) for a while . But The Show will still give you a lot of surprise, you will love it

The actresses portraying Prue and Phoebe didn’t get along on set so the producers ultimately decided to kill off Prue last minute. Doherty did direct season 3 finale but her death wasn’t originally a thing so that’s why this episode is so brutal though it makes sense on a narrative stand point. That’s why we don’t see Leo saving Piper or the actual death scene at all. In regards to Paige, I shared the same feelings as you on first viewing but I never felt like she was replacing anybody. At least in my mind, Prue will always be Prue and there’s no replacing her and that made it all a little more worth it and meaningful. It’s just a slightly different show from this point forward but it remains the forever exciting and loving one we all came to know and love. You just gotta go through the heartache first and I hope you continue watching the show no matter how long of a pause you might need to do so.

I agree with the last two comments. Please stop reacting to these edited versions of the episodes. It's one thing to edit in the original music but to add in scenes that don't belong is so unnecessary. A lot of us want you to experience the show the way it's intended to and it's being ruined by scenes that do not belong or give away possible spoilers. The episode is supposed to start off with Piper in the attic doing the "Call a lost witch" spell. Everything before that was a fan edit. And Prue's funeral scene was ruined with flashbacks that also don't belong and cut out scenes from the funeral.

Please whoever is editing these episodes stop, please just stop. This is not how the show was meant to look. You're messing with Devlin's experience. None of the prue clips are supposed to be there. Her funeral was pretty much ruined with that montage. This show never has recaps ever. These are basically fan edits, not the real show. Let him watch it the way it was meant to be watched

The sadness, anger and confusion is all a Charmed rite of passage heading into Season 4. Wish we could've given you some kind of forewarning but alas... Also you're still watching a very edited version of the show please PLEASE stop watching these versions! One of these days it's going to straight up spoil you for something important or ruin a scene. You might recognise a line from this episode because it was in the recap tacked onto 3x22 that didn't exist in that original episode! EDIT: THEY EDITED PRUE'S FUNERAL!!! BIG TIME!!! You lost the bulk of a scene because of that montage they added.

It's not the show's fault Shannon Dorothy who plays Prue wanted to leave the show she already knew that she was going to be her last season on season 3 that's why they ended it like that I think it was because on set the cast has some conflict between name three actresses
