Added 2020-04-20 23:25:50 +0000 UTCSince mega is no longer an option I uploaded the patch to a few different hosts to see how they perform. Let me know which host works the best for you, or if any of these hosts don't work for you.
WARNING: This patch is outdated. Get the latest version here.
You need to get the .exe and all 3 .bin files and put them in the same folder. You can mix files from different sources without issues.
Important note, read in case of issues
Windows Defender is flagging the .exe file for some reason. If you have trouble downloading or installing the patch you can either whitelist the .exe in Defender settings (security center > virus protection > protection history) or disable Defender temporarily while you download and install the patch (remember to re-enable it afterwards!).
This often happens when a new version of HF Patch, or really any non-signed application installer is released, and stops happening after enough users mark it as not malicious. If you are unsure if the file wasn't compromised, test the .exe on virustotal.com to see if it is actually infected or not.

2020-05-14 21:30:34 +0000 UTCTry removing UserData\save\tutorial.dat If that doesn't help, try reinstalling the patch with default settings (other than language). If you still get the same issue then send me your output_log file from game directory (in PM here or on discord).

2020-05-11 05:05:06 +0000 UTCWhat's asking you to put the disk in? The patch or the game? If the patch is asking you for a disk then you need to download all of the parts, you are most likely missing the .bin files.

New malware is often completely ignored, and legitimate applications are often flagged as malicious, especially if they are not signed (I'm not doing that since code signing certificates disclose personal information). If anyone finds any actual malware in the patch then you are free to spread the word to the world, I have nothing to hide. If you really think this is a scam then I don't mind refunding you. This version of the patch simply lost the antivirus lottery, you can download the previous version of the patch (v3.0.2) that uses almost exactly the same code but was not flagged. If you are worried about malware then I suggest using a virus scanning service like virustotal.com instead of relying on a single antivirus.

I used both methods both direct and torrent on a virtual machine and it virused and screwed over both systems. So in the end it just goes to show that if your computer tells you there's a virus, there most likely is.

Japanese MOD users are aware of this problem, and it is possible to handle it by backing up the initsetting beforehand, but if possible, please handle it on the installer side.

2020-04-22 12:50:24 +0000 UTCIt's a known issue, defender is flagging the file for some reason. On VirusTotal it only gets marked by machine learning algorithms, actual antiviruses find nothing.
