Great reaction! And you totally understand Jor-El's motivations. He isnt evil, though written as an antagonist in the earlier seasons, if you pay attention it's nothing Clark doesn't bring on himself. It's Clark who got himself killed. I'm sure Jor-El doesn't want to kill anyone, but the power of the fortress is limited. The power needed to bring back Clark may be costly.
