The Second Karen Puzzles Puzzle is here!

Hi everybody and welcome to the first edition of the Karen Puzzles Newsletter! I’m so happy that Patreon launched a free membership option so I can reach all of my top puzzlers in one place.

The big news this week is that the second Karen Puzzles Puzzle is here! It is called Gradient Cascade, and it features giant falling puzzle pieces with cutouts around each one to make 6 mini puzzles within the big puzzle. This is honestly the most perfect puzzle I’ve ever done and I’m thrilled with how it came out.

You can learn all about the image (created by 3D artist Wes Cockx) and see me solve the puzzle in my new video up now:

And then if you’re in the US, you can order it now from Barnes & Noble. They are the exclusive US retailer until October, when it will be available more widely:

I didn't know this when I filmed the video, but in addition to being online, it will also be available in stores! You can use that link to plug in your zip code and check if it's in stock in your store.

If you’re international, your country may already have it in stock, or it may be coming soon. (Canada has had it for like a month already, lucky Canadians!). You can google “Gradient Cascade Karen Puzzles” to get localized results and find out if it’s available in your country.

Also, if you weren’t able to get the 3000 piece puzzle last year, look up “Puzzles on Puzzles Ravensburger.” It’s now available in lots of countries worldwide!

Ok, I didn’t mean for the first edition of this newsletter to be so much self-promotion, but it just so happens that Patreon launched their free tier right as Gradient Cascade is coming out. But if you want to see every bit of content about this puzzle, make sure you’re following me on TikTok and Instagram as well:

I kind of go in and out of wanting to post TikToks, and right now I am fully in. I actually usually test videos on TikTok first, and then if they do well, also put them on Instagram and YouTube. So that’s the place to make sure you’re seeing everything.

What else is going on in puzzling?

Elsewhere around the internet, Guinness World Records released their coverage of last year’s World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship. They did a lot of interviews with the contestants and filmed a lot of high quality footage from the competition itself. You can watch the video here and read the article here:

I’ve also gotten tagged quite a bit in this Instagram video all about how Ravensburger is back in production on their 40,320 piece Disney puzzle. I love seeing glimpses into the Ravensburger factory. Who thinks I should get one?

And finally, I participated in an online puzzle contest last weekend where I paired up with Yvonne, and we also each competed individually. The event was livestreamed, and you can go back and watch. We competed in Pairs and Individual 1 (look for the red tablecloth), and the results are read out at the end of Individual 2. It might be a little hard to follow on just the livestreams, but stay tuned for my video about it coming soon.

And, that’s all I’ve got for today’s newsletter. I’m planning to post on here every Sunday morning alongside my new video, so stick around for more. To all of my paid patrons, I’ll be back with exclusive content next week. It’s just been a little crazy with the launch of this second puzzle!
