PMD: The Rogue Team had its 1st anniversary on October 7. but i am very bad with dates and anniversaries so i didn't draw anything to celebrate that exact day...
i wanted to do something before the year ends, so here's a little artwork to celebrate! this also doubles as concept art (somewhat? it's very minor but i think it counts!)
a little distance away from Akebi Village, near the crossroads, there's this big orange tree that gives a nice shade for travellers. villagers thought it would be convenient to have a resting stop under it, so they placed this super cool wooden swing bench there. surprisingly, it hasn't ever been stolen.
completely unrelated, but Tabor's favorite snacks are Mega Donuts! on a related note, i thought it would be fun to have the team try Auntie Kanga's homemade donuts in this special spot.
this is also a more complex piece than my usual kind of artwork. i used rule of thirds and 1 point perspective to draw the background, then place the characters in the perspective. or at least i tried to. ;w;
i am very much not an expert on perspective, and i'm still learning how to do interesting compositions. still, PMD: The Rogue Team is very important to me, and i wanted to give it my best effort for its anniversary. i'm satisfied with the result = v =')(\ here's to another year of comicking, and more of PMD:TRT's world.
