Crimson Explorer printed....mostly

Finally finished printing the Explorer, just need to print out more props for the interior. This is by far the largest vehicle I've designed and printed so far.

Hope you guys like it and please excuse my lousy paint job!

can't go wrong with more rolls :)

Project Mobius

Sounds like I should remount my bowden for speed and buy 5 rolls next time I see a bundle

Andy Fundinger

from what you can see so far 2.5-3 rolls of filament for the Explorer. Might be close to 2.5 or a bit less since I wasted quite a bit on some failed prints.

Project Mobius

How much filament do I need to set aside to print this beast?

Andy Fundinger

I just took a look and unfortunately its not possible. The corner window piece has a wall behind it where the OpenLOCK system is in order to connect to the other wall piece. For the front windscreens, if I get rid of them then there's no connection between the top frame and the bottom and would end up being separate parts when you print. But I will definitely keep this in mind for any future vehicles!

Project Mobius

hey Mark, thanks for your support! To answer your question no but perhaps I can include a version without the windscreens if I have time, I did thought about it though! To clarify, you are always getting previous month's release, meaning you did not miss the Med Store :) But going forward, anyone can get my previous releases in my store, patrons will get 20% off which is the same as the monthly subscription.

Project Mobius

BIG vehicle! Will there be a version without the windscreens so that acetate windows can be used? Also, just joined here and a bit peeved at missing the Med Store last month. Will this be going in your store, as I couldn't find it when I just looked. Other than that, I like your clean styling, makes it easier to mix and match with other designers when needed. Best of luck with the KS, Mark.
