As you walk between the jaws of this mysterious formation, you realise it must be a skull from...something. What you thought may have been a tree stump in the middle, you now realise is a bloody corpse, sat upright. Recently drained of it's life. There are several sets of footprints leading away from here, again, fresh. Before you can begin to track them, you hear a voice, and a tall Elf mage appears as if from nowhere as he speaks. 'Why do you interrupt our work?' he shouts, as you feel a dagger sink deep into your gut."

Moonlight Encounter - Demon Ritual is a 3rd level encounter. For generations this skull has been the sight of peaceful offerings to help farm health for surrounding villages, but cultists have moved in and managed to raise demons instead of crops. Adventurers have been called to fix the problem.
