[Spiderman] Ch: 11 [Hard to hold back]
Added 2025-02-19 20:23:39 +0000 UTCShaw roared, his body surging with terrifying power. His muscles expanded grotesquely as he stomped forward, the entire ground fracturing under his sheer weight. His ability to absorb kinetic energy had evolved. Every movement, every impact made him stronger. With a thunderous step, he lunged at Peter, his colossal fists swinging like wrecking balls.
Peter’s Spider-Sense screamed, but he smirked. “Gotta be faster than that, big guy.”
In a blur, Peter flipped backward, but Shaw’s strike obliterated the space where he stood, sending shockwaves that shattered nearby rock formations. Peter twisted in mid-air, firing a web needle infused with cosmic energy straight at Shaw’s face.
SHWIP!
The glowing strand speared through Shaw’s cheek, burning through his flesh. He snarled in pain, but instead of retreating, he absorbed the energy from the attack, his veins pulsing brighter.
“Not bad, Parker.” Shaw cracked his neck, his wounds instantly regenerating. “But I can take whatever you throw at me.”
Peter landed smoothly, his hands still in his pockets. “Good to know,” he said. “Means I can go all out.”
Suddenly, the battlefield was plunged into freezing darkness. The temperature plummeted to impossible lows, the molten rivers turning to jagged ice in an instant. Green energy was seeping from the ice. Peter’s breath came out in visible puffs as the Ice Lady floated above the battlefield, her body encased in eerie frozen Nether energy.
“Spider…” she purred, her voice laced with eerie pleasure. “Do you like it cold?”
She lifted her hand, and the air around her twisted unnaturally. Large spikes of corrupted ice burst from the ground, encasing everything in a frozen wasteland. The cavern transformed into a frigid battlefield, the very air slicing like razors.
Peter flicked his wrist, firing organic webbing, only for it to freeze solid before it could fully extend.
“Okay… That’s new.”
The Ice Lady laughed, twirling a long ice spear between her fingers. “You can’t escape, love. The cold… it’s eternal. Just like my desire to see you in pain.”
“Lady, you seriously need therapy.”
She snapped her fingers, and hundreds of frozen spikes shot forward, each one infused with dark Nether energy.
Peter’s body moved on instinct, cosmic energy flaring around him. He weaved through the deadly barrage with inhuman speed, dodging by mere inches. But as he landed on a nearby frozen pillar, the surface shattered beneath him.
Before he could launch an attack, Skarlet stepped in front of him, her crimson aura flaring to life.
“Leave her to me,” she said, her voice steady but sharp with resolve. Her blood tendrils slashed through the air like living whips, pulsating with deadly energy.
Peter smirked. “Alright. Just don’t get too cozy with her. She’s got issues.”
Without another word, Skarlet lunged at the Ice Lady, their battle igniting in a frenzy of frozen energy and blood magic.
But Peter didn’t have time to watch since Shaw was already charging at him again.
Peter's eyes narrowed. 'Gotta be smart about this.'
Shaw roared, throwing a punch that could level a building.
Peter moved like lightning, flipping over the attack while firing a web needle infused with cosmic energy.
SHWIP!
The web struck Shaw’s arm, but instead of burning him, he absorbed the energy, his body surging with even more power.
“Heh. Thanks for the boost, Parker,” Shaw grinned, his muscles swelling grotesquely.
Peter exhaled sharply. “Okay. No more freebies.”
Before Shaw could capitalize on his advantage, Peter flicked both wrists, firing web bombs infused with cosmic energy. The strands glowed with a deep violet hue, crackling with raw celestial power.
The web bombs struck Shaw’s chest and immediately exploded into a gravitational force field, anchoring the behemoth in place.
Shaw struggled, his limbs fighting against the unseen force. “What?!”
Peter blurred into motion. No wasted movement. No second chances.
He zipped above Shaw, twisting in mid-air before slamming a cosmic-powered heel kick directly into his skull. "Absorb this motherfucker!"
BOOM!
The impact created a shockwave that fractured the frozen battlefield, sending chunks of ice and rock flying. Shaw was sent skidding back, but instead of being injured, his body flared with power as he absorbed the impact.
He grinned. “That all you got?”
Peter scowled. 'This guy’s turning into a walking nuke.' He was holding back because knowing Shang Tsung, he must be watching him and analyzing his abilities. He couldn't risk that.
Suddenly, his Spider-Sense screamed.
From above, Green Goblin cackled, his spectral glider twisting through the air like a demon possessed.
“Did you forget about me, Parker?” he sneered.
Goblin hurled a barrage of glowing, spectral pumpkin bombs, except these weren’t just bombs. They were hunting him. The projectiles zigzagged through the air, locking onto Peter’s energy signature like guided missiles as he flew around.
Peter reacted instantly, flipping backward and firing two cosmic web needles at the incoming bombs.
BOOM!
The first two detonated mid-air, but three more spiraled past the explosion, curving toward him.
Peter’s eyes flashed. "Fine. Let’s improvise."
He extended his arms and spun rapidly in mid-air, releasing a flurry of cosmic webbing. The strands spread out like a spider’s nest, creating an intricate web barrier. As soon as the bombs hit the glowing web, they imploded instead of exploding, sucked into a miniature gravitational void.
Goblin’s grin faltered. “What?!”
Peter vanished.
A split second later, he appeared above Goblin’s glider, his foot glowing with cosmic energy.
“Boo.”
WHAM!
His foot crashed into the glider, sending Goblin spiraling out of control. But instead of panicking, Goblin twisted in the air, hurling a green fireball straight into Peter’s chest.
BOOM!
The explosion sent Peter hurtling back, his suit smoldering. He flipped mid-air, barely landing on a frozen ledge.
Before he could recover, Doctor Octopus struck.
The mechanical limbs shot out unnaturally fast, their spectral chains lashing toward Peter with incredible range. The arms stretched farther than ever before, as if they had no physical limits.
Peter dodged the first two strikes, but the third wrapped around his ankle.
CRACK!
Peter was yanked off the ground and slammed into the frozen rock below, the impact sending cracks spiderwebbing across the battlefield.
Octopus tightened his grip, lifting Peter into the air and slamming him down again.
And again.
And again.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The icy battlefield trembled under the brutal assault.
“Parker…” Octopus’s voice was eerily calm. “This time, you’re not walking away.”
Peter grinned. “You know… That was a nice massage.”
His hands snapped forward. Webbing shot out, infused with cosmic energy.
Instead of aiming at Octopus, Peter fired at the surrounding battlefield.
The glowing webbing struck the icy ground and erupted into a massive shockwave of cosmic force.
The explosion launched Peter free of Octopus’s grip, sending him flipping through the air. Before Octopus could react, Peter fired a precision web needle straight at his opponent’s chest.
SHWIP!
The cosmic web pierced through his torso before detonating in a burst of energy. Octopus stumbled back, his spectral chains writhing as if in agony.
Peter landed with a smirk, brushing dust off his suit. “Man… for dead guys, you sure don’t know when to quit.”
Before he could savor the moment, Shaw slammed into him like a freight train.
Peter’s body smashed through multiple ice pillars...
Shaw cracked his knuckles, his entire body now radiating with absorbed energy.
“You’re strong, Parker,” he admitted. “But this time? You’re not walking away.”
Peter made an impossible flip in the mid-air and regained his balance before landing on the icy ground. He flexed his fingers as cosmic energy crackled through his body. His eyes flicked to Skarlet and the Ice Lady, their fight raging fiercely. He had to end this soon.
He exhaled. Time to stop playing.
His body glowed with cosmic energy, his eyes burning with celestial power.
Peter cracked his knuckles.
“Alright, boys.”
He vanished in a flash of speed.
Game on.
