[Multiverse2] Ch: 13 [The power of Void]

I grinned, relishing the challenge. Finally, things were getting interesting.

"You dare to challenge the very essence of evolution, human?" Apocalypse growled, his voice resonating in my mind. "You have no idea the power you stand against."

I raised my hand, the flickering black flame of the Void roaring to life in my palm. The air around it distorted, the fabric of reality itself warping and bending under its influence. These flames weren’t just fire—they were the very embodiment of destruction, capable of erasing anything and everything. There was no defense, no escape.

"Trust me, I know exactly what I’m up against," I said, my voice a low growl. "And I’m going to enjoy this."

I shifted into my Void Form, my body becoming enveloped in swirling black energy. The crimson vampiric aura that once clung to me was gone, replaced by this darker, more lethal power. My entire form seemed to absorb the light around me, casting an unsettling shadow over the battlefield. The Void flames crackled, ready to consume.

Apocalypse moved first. He didn’t waste time on pleasantries, summoning the full force of his ancient telekinetic powers. Massive chunks of earth and sand lifted into the air, swirling around him like an unstoppable cyclone. His henchmen surged forward in a coordinated attack, each one moving with deadly precision.

I didn’t flinch. With a snap of my fingers, the Void flames erupted, spreading outward like a wave of death. The first mutant, a hulking brute with stone-like skin, charged at me with a roar. I barely glanced his way before a tendril of black fire shot from my hand, coiling around him in an instant. His roar turned into a scream as the flames consumed him, burning not just his body but his very existence. He was reduced to ash in moments.

Another mutant, a speedster, attempted to flank me, moving too fast for the eye to see. I sensed him before he struck and released a blast of Void energy in his direction. He dodged, but it didn’t matter. The Void flames shifted course, homing in on him with a relentless hunger. His speed was no match for the Void; within seconds, he was caught, and like the first, he vanished into nothing.

Apocalypse’s face tightened in anger, but he didn’t move. Not yet. He was watching, studying, waiting for an opening. But his henchmen weren’t so cautious.

Two mutants, one with control over shadows and the other over metal, came at me next. The shadow-wielder attempted to engulf me in a blanket of darkness, but I simply raised my hand, and the Void flames surged forward, devouring the shadows as if they were fuel. The metal-bender tried to trap me in a prison of steel, summoning massive spires of iron from the sand. But I shattered them with a thought, my flames reducing the metal to molten slag.

"Is this it?" I taunted, my voice echoing across the desert. "You call these mutants your chosen ones? Pathetic."

War, restored to his full power, came charging toward me with his massive axe raised high. His eyes burned with fury as he swung the weapon with enough force to cleave a mountain in half. I didn’t bother dodging. The Void flames coiled around my arm, and I caught the axe with my bare hand. The metal sizzled and cracked under the touch of my flames, melting away as War’s expression turned from anger to shock.

I drove a fist into his chest, and the impact sent him flying across the battlefield, his armor crumbling into dust from the sheer force. He crashed into a sand dune far in the distance, but I could still sense him stirring. Good. I wasn’t finished with him yet.

"ENOUGH!" Apocalypse’s voice boomed like thunder. His patience had run out.

He raised his hands, and the earth split open beneath my feet. Massive stone golems, infused with his ancient energy, rose from the ground, their eyes glowing with the same color as Apocalypse’s power. They were huge, towering over even me, their fists like boulders.

I smirked. "You’re going to need more than rocks to stop me."

I unleashed the full force of the Void flames, a black inferno that spread across the battlefield. The golems were tough, their bodies resistant to normal fire, but the Void flames were far from ordinary. They latched onto the golems, consuming their very essence. One by one, they crumbled, their stone forms disintegrating into nothingness.

But Apocalypse wasn’t done. His hands glowed with raw purple power, and he unleashed a blast of energy so intense that it looked as if the energy tore through space and time itself. The beam of energy shot toward me, a force capable of wiping out entire civilizations.

"Bring it on, motherfucker!" I was enjoying the situation.

I crossed my arms, letting the Void energy surge through me. The beam struck, but it didn’t annihilate me as Apocalypse had intended. Instead, it was absorbed into the Void flames, swallowed by the darkness.

Apocalypse’s eyes narrowed in surprise. "What is that power?" He grumbled.

I could sense fear in his eyes. This was what I wanted. Fear.

"Impressive," I said, dusting off my shoulders as the last of his attack was consumed. "That attack could have annihilated an entire country off the map. Well, my turn. Try not to die too fast."

I shot forward, moving faster than I ever had before. Apocalypse barely had time to react as I closed the distance between us in the blink of an eye. My fist, wreathed in Void flames, slammed into his chest with a resounding impact. The shockwave flattened the remaining dunes, and for the first time, Apocalypse staggered. I could see a purple barrier around his body.

Tsk. This annoying barrier shit.

"DON'T GET AHEAD OF YOURSELF, HUMAN!" His eyes blazed with fury, and he countered with a wave of telekinetic force so powerful it sent me flying backward. I hit the ground hard, but I was already back on my feet, grinning.

"You’re stronger than I expected," I admitted, wiping blood from my mouth. That was powerful. I'm pretty sure, it would have shattered Powergirl's bones to dust. "But I’m just getting started. VOID ZONE!" I summoned the full force of the Void. The flames surged higher, engulfing the entire battlefield. Apocalypse’s remaining henchmen screamed as they were consumed by the inferno, their bodies erased from existence.

Apocalypse stood alone now, his face twisted in rage. He raised his hands, summoning more energy than before, the very air around him distorting from the sheer power he was channeling.

But I wasn’t afraid. I’d seen enough. It was time to end this.

I clenched my fists, and the Void flames responded, swirling around me like a living storm. The power coursing through me was overwhelming, nearly intoxicating. It always feels awesome to use this power.

"You think yourself a god?" I said, my voice echoing with dark energy. "Don't kid yourself."

I unleashed the Void flames, not as an attack but as a wave of absolute erasure. They roared forward, an unstoppable force that devoured everything in its path. Apocalypse raised his hands in a desperate attempt to block it, but it was futile. The black hole he summoned, shattered. The flames crashed into him, engulfing him entirely.

For a moment, the world seemed to hold its breath. The sky darkened, and the wind stopped. Then, with a deafening roar, the flames exploded outward, consuming everything.

When the smoke cleared, Apocalypse was gone. Reduced to nothing.

I stood in the center of the ruined desert, breathing heavily. The battle was over. The Horsemen were defeated, and the mutants were destroyed. Apocalypse... I don't sense his life force anymore.

But I was still here. Stronger than ever.

I smirked, feeling the power of the Void still pulsing through me.

"Well," I said, looking around at the devastation. "That was fun."
