You hit the nail on the head with extremely minimal context. Vikings are fucking cool, they are also brutal and flawed. Especially when in relation to slavery, land, and power struggles.

Denji is just a 16 yo MC, very relatable and realistic character for that age, no save the world shit like in Naruto, he is not the chosen one, he is just a regular young boy in puberty, which makes his growth in the next arc (which will be covered in a movie) the better. Chainsaw Man is a one of a kind story, I can definitely tell you that

Anime has a lot of tropes and storytelling devices that are commonly used in most shows, and its interesting to see how each show executes them differently and using different styles

The first few episodes are great, the last few are great and there are definitely some good ones in the middle, but yeah that's my opinion. HOWEVER, Season 2 is fucking incredible, actually insanely amazing and I think you might feel similarly so just wanted to let you know to definitely be aware that it does all build for *something*
