Yeah, i feel like the MAIN characters, (Eren, Mikasa, Reiner, Levi, Armin, Zeke) have to have these grand traits and huge importance or special powers. Not a criticism at all just a point, its intentional. But just below that Jean is just a guy, with flaws, with justifiable actions and a progression that by this point makes him one of the most likeable characters in the show.
