(7/5/18) Schedule Adjustments
Added 2018-07-05 11:43:18 +0000 UTCHello everyone, I hope you all had a good America Day yesterday. Recently something has come up which demands a big change in my plans for this month. My family back in my home state is going to be moving out of our home we had for 20-ish years, and I need to fly out there to help them out for about a week. Naturally, this will cut in to the time I have to work on the game. However, I have a couple ideas that might let me still get work done while I'm out there. First, I'm going to try and do all of the necessary character art before I leave, and after moving the project files to my laptop, hopefully I'll be able to still make some scenes with those resources. Second, even if I don't get all of the character art done by then, I can still work on other things in the project, like making the other menus in the pause menu work, and other aspects of the mini game I didn't finish. Thirdly, and this is more of a last resort, I've been playing around with this engine called Inform, which is a pretty basic text adventure creation kit. Godspeak posted about this a few months ago along with some demos I thought were interesting, so I always wanted to give it a go. If by some chance the free time I have while I'm back home isn't enough to work on SQI/2, I'll still try and get something playable out at the end of the month.
I still have over a week until my trip, so the first option isn't out of reach. Eventually I want to hold polls open to $5+ patrons about what characters I should prioritize, but I know for this first update I'm going to try and have scenes for Maria, Rocio, Sophie and probably her little brother Sven as well. I might hold that poll at the end of the month. I'm thinking of holding a seperate poll for all patrons about what kinds of items you want to see most next update. That might be while I'm out on my trip.
