(6/5/18) Day 13 and Equipment (nearly) Finished!

Awright! Phew, I'm just about finished with updating the menu systems. As you might have seen from the video above, nearly all of the intended functions are working and finished. You can now cycle through all of the tabs, select equipment from each, and equip or unequip them as you need. In addition the 9 core stats (Weight, Impact, Dominance, Protection, Insulation, Strength, Endurance, and Stamina) are displayed below, along with what changes will occur if you equip a selected piece of equipment. That last part technically isn't true, it only shows the stats of the selected piece. Showing the change in value will just take a bit more math, but I ran out of time tonight. Naturally what is also missing is the changing of clothes graphics and the actual equipment icons appearing in their respective slots, but I didn't have time to make them, and what items I have in the database already wouldn't be used for the demo anyway. The last thing I could say needs to be finished is the displaying of durability of the equipped implement. All of these unfinished bits are trivial, and would take less than half a day to fix.

Now, I think you can all guess what this means. Starting tomorrow I'll begin work on the spanking systems. To be accurate, I'll be focusing on the design and graphics aspect of it so my mind can cool down from coding. These last 3 days had me smashing my head against my desk too many times for me to count (if I can still count after that) and doing something softer on the mind like artwork would be a good change in pace. I've found that keeping a steady rotation of art and coding keeps concepts fresh in my mind and keeps me from getting bored at the same time. Whatever, enough rambling. I'll see you tomorrow.
