(5/27/18) Day 5 and Portraits + UI

Hi everyone. Comin' at you live from my hobbit cave of game making. Well, live at the time of this post.

It's coming up on a week into my break, and I think I've made a lot of progress. The video above previews how conversations will look in the new system, with a finished text box and portrait too! The only thing missing is the expression of the player character, which I'll probably spend most of tomorrow on. However, tomorrow is also Memorial day, a well known American holiday for any of my foreign fans, so the amount of time I'll be able to spend on the game will be limited since I have other plans that day.

Another thing you might have noticed is the added component to the UI I put together recently. As it is right now, it's just a pretty trinket. But in it's finished state the left side will have the player character's face, and the right will have their butt. Both sides will change in real-time to show damage or emotional distress. Aside from the obvious uses like showing marks/redness and tears, I could also show effects from mouth-soapings, blushing from embarrassing clothing, and probably much more. The two bars below will have a more practical use of showing your exhaustion and soreness levels down to the nearest percentage (%). That could be very useful if you get put into a dialogue option that can set you up to spank or be spanked, and you're curious how your stats look. 

It's set up in the center top of the screen so that the text box and character portraits don't get in the way. I also plan on having less detailed components on the left or right to show gold and maybe some other details I forgot about.

So, tomorrow you can expect at least a few expressions to show off, and if I have the time I'll finish the UI components I just mentioned. Until then!
