(5/23/18) Day 1, and Tilesheets

Hi everyone, pictured above is what I spent all day on. I'm in the middle of formatting all of the tilesheets from RPGmaker over to Construct 2, and it's dull, and tedious work. Perfect for someone coming down from a week of finals. Unfortunately, it isn't just copy/pasting them over to a new document. Since RPGmaker had it's own software interpret the tilesheets, I had to sort of fill in the blanks that were done automatically before. The manipulation itself isn't hard to do, but it is time consuming and you need to be precise. 

Aside from that, I had the issue of figuring out how to divide the tiles efficiently. The above picture is every possible floor tile that I would use in the game, not counting any objects or other details that would go on top, over the floor. Next I'll be working on the walls/ceiling parts. They are a bit easier to format, so it should take me all day. The harder part is the tiles that were animated in rpgmaker, like waterfalls or coast parts. They each need a separate sheet for each of their frames so that the animation works properly. The object tiles (chairs, beds, etc.) don't need any formatting, but I still need to arrange that in a single sheet. Everything considered, I should have all of the tilesheets finished by tomorrow evening. At that point, I'll build a recreation of Maria's house from SQI in the new engine. That should provide a good motivation for me to work on the rest of the game, since staring at a poorly tiled bland room for the last few months isn't a very pleasing sight.
