Just so you know Jon, heavenly pacts are pacts that are forced upon you before birth. That's why there are called "heavenly" because they are out of your control. Also as we see, just because the name sounds divine, the pact itself can be just the opposite. Mechamaru didn't want to suffer in a room his whole life, and Maki and Toji were hated by their family because their Heavenly Pacts caused them to have no cursed techniques and little to no cursed energy. ( Zero cursed energy in Toji's case).

So Shibuya plot is briefly explained in Season 1 by Geto and Mahito they want to basically trap Gojo using a cursed object called the prison realm (he's way too strong to kill and their only option to get him out of the way and make their plans successful is to trap him - mahito/geto and co want to also fully revive sukuna and want him to join their side as well). You'll learn more about the full picture soon though!

Ok so as far as the first half, welcome to the weirdest episode of JJK lol, What’s about to happen to all of these characters is nothing short of tragic so moments like these are a good reinforcement that our MC and his friends are all still just young teens who will never get to return to that state of normal. As you saw in the second half tho, shit is going down
