Keep your head up. I’m not sure if anybody’s warned you yet but S2 E6 is a slice of life episode similar in vibes to the baseball episode although different execution and subject.

Although at times it seems like the show is dragging things out or not making sense, there’s hardly any moments in this show without purpose. For us people who have seen/read it multiple times, it’s easy for us to follow the story and make connections with the overall/deeper meaning as it’s happening. For you, you’re having to take in everything all at once for the first time so we should understand your criticisms. Not telling you to rewatch, but I feel like you’d appreciate this show a lot more if you were given more context and explanations for why the show does what it does. You’re doing a fine job following for your first watch even if it feels like you aren’t, trust me

I was confused about the applause scene when I watched at first but after watching it again I think they were just cult members who were happy that the girl got shot in the head before she merged. Teen Geto's philosophy was "its ugly, but these are the type of people we have to save with Jujutsu" and Gojo's was "This situation disgusts me and we're strong enough to kill everyone here unopposed, why dont we just do it?"

I agree on the fact that this show has a lot of exposition, I'm similar with you in the fact I don't like theorizing/predicting plots for shows. However, for people that are (which is ofc understandable), this show's minutia is a blessing because it gives them so many different routes to go down and it's expected to go back and rewatch battles/explanations to really find out the "rules" of this world so that the moment loopholes are revealed, they are more appreciated. Great reaction.

Great video Jon, btw the person Gojo was talking about who can use reverse cursed technique is Shoko, the brown haired girl student in this flashback and in the present day, she is the doctor who works for Jujustu High and was looking at Yuji’s body when sukuna ‘killed’ him earlier on in the series

Really appreciate you putting in the effort to understand all the craziness going on in the show. I don't think anybody is capable of comprehending everything going on with their first watch especially if they are not pausing all the time. I like that you are pausing and rereading certain things because I think that will definitely help you understand and help you appreciate everything that is going on. I think because majority of us anime watchers are already invested into this show, we can be unnecessarily harsh when you give criticism because we already get what is happening and the frustration is that we want you to enjoy it just as much as we do. I genuinely do think JJK is a brilliant work in the manga and anime space and I think if you take this approach with watching it you will enjoy it much more in the long run. The author wrote it in a way where info gets revealed to you as you progress, so you will never understand every single thing going on and you are not meant to. The goal is to try to acquire all the info you can and theorize about the unknowns until they are revealed to you. I find this style very compelling if you are able to enjoy it. Either way I'm subbed to the patreon because I enjoy your raw reactions so whatever you decide to do I will be happy to support!

Really appreciate you doing these it’s super cool - everyone has their own way of doing things but if it helps at all, I found myself in the same position as you with regards to the exposition and tbh I ended up ignoring a lot of it unless it came up again (especially the power system) and that ended up working out really well for me. If it’s absolutely critical that you don’t miss it the show will make sure to bring it up again to ensure you don’t miss it so don’t feel as if you have to catch everything the first time, I certainly didn’t!
