Hoo, made it in time.
I actually redrew her clothes because I didn't like my original design, so it took longer than I expected. As you could probably guess, this is the body portrait for the female main character. The design isn't great, but it'll be temporary for when I can spend more time on it, and it's an okay gender swap of what the male main character had on. Zekel did a big favor for me, and red-lined my original draft which I improved on, and thanks to him I got a design that I think is at least easy on the eyes.
I finished my super busy week, and at least for a short amount of time I'll be able to get back to working on the pause menu... OR WILL I?!
As some of you might have heard, Godspeak organized a game jam thingy on Aotk a while ago, and that will be starting on the 29th and lasting a week. So for that week, I'll be going crazy on whatever side project I decide to do (depending on the theme). It may not be directly related to this game, but I think the hopes of a new, playable game offsets any delay that might cause in this project.
However, in the brief respite from my schoolwork and that, I'll be returning my focus on the pause menu. I think I'll get started on the options next instead of working on the map and character sheet. I'm doing this because the map won't have much of a purpose in the first demo I'll be doing with the first town of the SQ1, and the characters page won't be of much use with only 1 character in the demo. Lastly, working on options and large changes that affect the whole game will be good preparation for the game jam. Until next time everyone.
