2/13/18 and Bonus Game
Added 2018-02-13 22:09:05 +0000 UTCHowdy everyone,
I have a post today that I think will excite a lot of you. I had a realization recently where I noticed that I have had a substantial lack of new content being put out over the last few months. Almost all of my work has been in revising past work or in setting up a game engine. Because everyone has been so patient, and because I need a outlet for me to flex my world-building chops, I've decided to once again return to RPGmaker with the goal of making a short game in the vein of Spanquest with a new setting, story, and characters. This will be alongside my main project of course, and it will be low priority in the sense that if I'm able to work on the main game I will, but if not I will work on this.
Considering my accumulated experience with RPGmaker over the years, this will take significantly less time and effort than my other projects, and it would mainly be a stress relief project than anything. I don't know how much more I'll be posting about the game before it's done, but I felt I should give you all something more substantial to look forward too aside from piecemeal updates of an engine that has a relatively low amount of spanking content.
You all can still expect an update later in the week for the Construct 2 demo, where I'll have the blinking and talking animations finished, along with some improved text boxes.

The problem with RTT was that I didn't have the means to do what I wanted (although now I do). But that game is bigger than the scope of what I want to work on right now.

2018-02-14 04:27:19 +0000 UTCThis won't take any time away from the current game, it would just mean I'm spending more time as a whole with game design. I can't give an accurate date for when it will be completed because the time which I can work on it will vary depending on the current circumstances. But something less stressful and fun I can do in my spare time will be a good alternative to the intense programming I'm doing now, and will still be a way for me to keep my skills polished.

2018-02-14 02:29:23 +0000 UTCSeeing as pretty much everything I've done so far has been fantasy, I'm going to try my hand at a more modern setting. I have a few ideas in my head right now, but I need to make sure it has enough potential for varied scenes.
