Rory smiled seeing the email notification on his phone. Everything had gone through then. It looked like he was going to be able to share in the fun with his friends and co-workers now!
All of the people he knew had been going on about some fun apps recently. They were some kind of service that texted members fun facts about history, animals, people, and such. It was all free, and everyone had been sharing the new stuff they learned with each other.
It sounded like some sly service that was more about collecting user data and info to sell to other companies in Rory’s mind. It probably was too.
But, he couldn’t help but be a little intrigued at the idea. When he had some spare time just then, he looked into things himself. Eventually, he came across an app dedicated to cats, one that would provide all the fun information he could ever want. He liked cats a lot, so a fun fact every day would be good.
He put the phone to the side and leaned into his sofa, turning on the YouTube app on his TV. That’s done. Time to get back to-
Bzzzzzzzzt. Rory looked at his phone. A text message had come in and from an unknown number apparently.
The message read: “Big Cat Facts is here with fun info! Prepare to meow with delight!”
Roy smiled. Definitely went through. Wonder how long until I start getting facts? Probably tomorrow or-
Bzzzzzzzzzt. His phone buzzed again. That was fast.
A new message had appeared. “Everybody wants to be a cat!”
