One of my talented patrons loves Julio and provided me a rough sketch. I approach all such reference as I do photographs and here are my steps through the FINISHED ROUGH phase. I ALWAYS do a simple fill tone before I do a finish. This, along with flipping the art around to see the mirror image help me spot my mistakes. Please let me know if you'd like to see this sketch in color and I'll show how I would take it from here to finish.
