Lobby Blockout

Yo, here's a blockout for the lobby. The use for this blockout is to get a sense of scale as I flesh out the rest of the lobby more. The lobby is one of the first main areas and acts as a hub to different levels in the game. The walls will be lined with bookshelves and mystical items with it becoming more of a makeshift observatory as you head up. The middle portion will have portals that lead to the regular kobold garden while the stairs upward lead to a more angelic garden and the lower stairs to a darker garden that are unlocked through different events in the game. The middle contraption is an elevator that leads into a procedural dungeon you can take your kobolds with to gain loot.


Here's some more background for why the lobby is like this but the following also contains spoilers for the start of the game. If you're okay with that continue at your own risk:

Near the start of the game, you're tasked with delivering one of the largest crystals yet found to your kingdoms head mage. You load it up to that elevator at the bottom of the mages tower and as you're bringing it up, it starts reacting to things in the mages room. The crystal then sends waves of electricity up the elevator and sets off one of the mages teleportation experiments, sending the whole tower with you in it stranded in the middle of space. You agree to help the mage and they use a small shard of what's left of the crystal to make a portal to any nearby areas, the first being kobold garden.
