Well I tried

First attempt at using a fog machine for photos. I suppose they're suppose to create this much softness and darkness in photos, which feels wrong, but is an artistic choice by many photographers. It may be something I get use to or something I practice until I like it. Some times there was way too much fog and I am only a shadow of a person in the photos. On the back of the camera it looks very cool, while editing I often hated it. I do see parts of it I like in certain light, but it's interesting seeing how much the fog blocks light. I should really post those for people who haven't seen it before! There are black clouds with edges of pink, the way it hides, diffuses and reflects certain light as it comes in at various angles. But I didn't expect how much my front light would disappear. You can hardly tell that there are three lights to create this set. But the fog darkened the images further as the fog continued to fill the room. I hardly would notice as my eyes acclimated to it. I will try again though. I think I've been so rushed with everything, it's hard to find time to really experiment in the moment until I get something right. And so I'm actually not going to keep regularly posting to Patreon any more. I appreciated the encouragement to keep making art and posting, but I have to focus on more important aspects of my business and my life. I won't not post. I'll still have projects I'm doing and can post about, but I don't anticipate the each post will be organized the way I have had them the last few years. I'm not really sure how many people will care either. I appreciate the continued donations. They're really supportive.

If you are looking for a bit of atmosphere, you can also use diatomaceous earth.

Thank you for sharing. I found you through the croquis cafe too. Your work is very inspiring. I still need to find the time to digitally paint the angel piece I did a while back. Wishing you all the best with your future endeavours 😊
