Goddess-y Vibes

Had a few shoots recently that inspired this idea, so I wanted to test and try it out with my new studio space and lights. Building some ideas around this concept. I kept the editing minimal again to give room for using this as reference material. Though I really like the idea of using this idea for more indepth photoshop work. I'm almost inspired by the idea of learning graphic design and art. I'm learning that I cannot just create and learn to do everything, at least not if I want to do it well. I'm still building a business with modeling, and trying to improve both the modeling and the everything else. I'm trying to capture better what I want to say in poses and looks rather than experimenting with too many ideas. I hope that makes sense. I greatly enjoy experimenting with all sorts of ideas, but I want to put a little more effort into honing in how modeling can be an art and artistic expression. What does that mean to me and what does it mean to have as a career. I think it is similar with many arts. There is a lot of time spent practicing and trying new directions before honing certain styles or one certain style. I've gone back and forth many times with ideas on who I want to be and what I want to say. I often go back and do a lot of artistic nude. I think becuase their is something so expressive in bone structure, muscles, and skin. I like the anonymity and while I am a model, as in the face of an image, I still don't like the image to be about me. I think I avoid the spotlight while ironically being it. In an image I want to fit in and be a part of the world. Maybe that is my form of self expression. While trying to fit in though, I do feel often cast out as nude art is often only given an erotic interpretation, making it often wrong and inappropriate.  I don't hate the pressure to wear more clothing in art or adjust for the viewer. It is a challenge and also about creating art that will be understandable. If the nudity is too distracting, people aren't focusing on the over all piece. But then it is about finding myself in fashion and styling.  It will give a new dimension and character to a lot of the art, alientating some viewers and really reaching others. I think fashion is daunting, but daunting can be exciting. For this set, I focused on improving the posing and look on an idea and character I've been asked to do a few times. It isn't techiniqually just nude art nor is it fashion. It does build a character, story, and identity to relate to or like or hate, that nudity wouldn't. I feel like I focused both on bringing out a character that I felt like other people may like and on looking for who am I in the story. It is hard to blend them together into one photo or pose.
