COVID isolation has turned itself around for me. I can't travel to far off places, see lots of friends, tour, etc; but I'm growing my friendships at home, exploring home, hiking, getting to know my family, and experimenting with other sides of myself. I feel happy. And I may have gotten a job at a vet's office today. I had been looking for lab jobs for a while, but many in Atlanta wanted more experience. I'm excited by this job because I can be around animals, learn more about them, and the people that work there seem nice. I can't do much traveling right now anyway, but I hope to have a few days off a week to continue my outdoor adventures. If everything goes to plan, I'll have a space for more self portraits. Opportunities and possibilities are popping up as long as I can be patient. A lot of us lost a sense of direction. I felt like my north star went missing. I felt so aimless day to day trying to figure out what else I could do to stay modeling. I don't really like the alternatives that much though. I can't determine if modeling will go back to what it was, and it may be better to detour on to a unique path. As a model I set out to create art I can feel sentimental towards, and I ask myself, where are my sentiments?
