It's no secret I love water, but artistically I really love water. It's translucent but not. So many different colors. I wish it wasn't so cold all the time. With the summer coming up, that'll be perfect. I really hoped to be in full tour mode during water season this year. I really found an element in the water. I'll still enjoy the springs, rivers, waterfalls, etc, but I'll missing combining two of my favorite things: water and modeling.
This specific shot was taken in a few seconds or minutes, a few days ago. The water was frigid and I told Grant I really wanted this look, but that he needed to shoot fast because I couldn't handle the cold and rushing water too long. I'm so impressed and so happy. It's better than I imagined. I thought of all these photos on cotton or fluffy white sheet, and saw a similar opportunity in the bubbles at the bottom of these cascades. With editing, I went more moody, but the original thought was how soft and snuggly the bubbles and pools were. I guess this caught more my real observation: how cold and strong the current was!
I'll put a pin in that concept and wait for a better babbling brook to relax in. Preferably one that is warm or like a hot spring.
