IIRC, Sarco? had a kit for the 1911 w/ a magazine, barrel and slide [breech face & extractor to shoot 9mmP; not too hard to find] but they never had good reports. At lot of effort just to shoot cheap as chips corrosive FSU ammo, but then that dried up and interest in the kits went away...

Rowel hammer is standard for the Hi-Power. Ironically, I believe it was supposed to relieve hammer bite, but the rowel hammer on my BHP bites worse than that on my Colt 1991a1 [that was their "budget" 1911 in the '90s w/ Series 80 firing pin block and craplastic parts in the fire control group. IDK why it was so imperative for Browning's (unconcealed hammer) hammer-fired guns to bite the hand that fed them when designing a properly-shaped hammer would have taken all of another 15 minutes at the drafting table, but there it is... As far as "feel," probably about the same as a TT33 [Soviet Browning knock-off w/ feature set requested by their military.] A little snappy, but overall, easier than the greater recoil from a .45acp...

I ordered it about a week after your video just for reference.

Ian please bring awareness to the HEL-E4A suppressor. I’ve been trying to get one from him and he’s since ghosted me this last week. I still have my money thankfully. But I don’t think trying to get one from him is the greatest idea. He’s very difficult to work with when you can get to him. If it gets damaged I’m sure he wouldn’t make good on his warranty or make it a big pain and take forever. Thank you for showing it off though still a very cool item.

NO! they gave it a heel release?! you kidding me... . and what is that weirdo hammer shape and "beavertail"? they better would have done a "true" 1911 copycat. still then there's the question: how would a 7,62tok 1911 feel.

Guido Schriewer

Sigh. Now I am driven to go research '1911 in 7.62x25.'

In an alternative universe, this is the cheap, mid 2000s “import piece of crap” that all the broke college kids could buy for like $85 that would turnout to be fantastic sidearms.
