Basic key-copying machines work exactly like the Blanchard lathe.
I'd say a metal-printing application other than suppressors would be internal channels for the air squeezed by the bolt stroke to blow onto the barrel. Actually, you'd want that even more in plastic guns.
I wonder if electromagnetic forming would be better than stamping. You wouldn't injection-mould brass cartridge cases...

Regarding making wooden stocks: the questioner might enjoy the old WW I film clips of M1917 and BAR stocks being shaped in C&Rsenal’s “Making the War.”

For helping visualize how the Blanchard lathe makes stocks, take a look at Culver Props on Instagram. They use a similar kind of machine for copying propeller profiles. Super interesting stuff.

gunsmithing just replacement parts: yeah well got tow sw revolvers repaired. ok one the SA sear was sheared off somehow (though I shoot it DA only). the other though... trigger pin broke. if that is repaired only a touch wrong... trigger ergonomics got to be SO screwed. went well though. was my 1st revolver.

25:51 A Ring Sight, you don't see many of them around these days. I still have 2 of them in my stash I bought of $10 each as NOS.

Tolerances? Hang on, I thought guns were made by people who don't want to have any tolerance?
