Basic key-copying machines work exactly like the Blanchard lathe. I'd say a metal-printing application other than suppressors would be internal channels for the air squeezed by the bolt stroke to blow onto the barrel. Actually, you'd want that even more in plastic guns. I wonder if electromagnetic forming would be better than stamping. You wouldn't injection-mould brass cartridge cases...

2026-01-30 23:42:37 +0000 UTCgunsmithing just replacement parts: yeah well got tow sw revolvers repaired. ok one the SA sear was sheared off somehow (though I shoot it DA only). the other though... trigger pin broke. if that is repaired only a touch wrong... trigger ergonomics got to be SO screwed. went well though. was my 1st revolver.
