September Q&A Question Request: Battle Rifles
Added 2025-09-06 03:28:08 +0000 UTCMaybe this is too specific a subject, but let's give it a try. For the September Q&A, how about the topic of battle rifles...what would you like to ask?

Have you heard of Mexico's fx-05 service rifle? The Mexican army not only designed their own rifle but also built their own small-arms manufacturing plant where they developed their own machine gun, sub machinegun, PDW, pistol, and are working on developing other armament which has been extremely cost effective by all accounts. Why haven't other countries been able to achieve this kind of model successfully vs the complicated government procurement process we all know and "love"?

2025-09-22 22:30:14 +0000 UTCAs a spaniard, I'm keep listening that the CETME C was an outstanding spanish rifle yada yada yada. My question is... to what extend? I mean, it was the design of a group of german engineers that happens to work here after being working to France government. Not even the work of some german inmigrants at CETME but an entire lockwork system designed outside Spain. When could a country be "proud" of a "national design"? Is there some "spanish talent" on the CETME rifle family?
