Hi-Point Leading the People: The New 3095 Carbine

Hi-Point has chosen to release a new carbine, the Model 3095 - in 7.65mm French Long! Well, not quite...it's actually in .30 Super Carry. But it will run 7.65mm French Long, so I clearly need to have one...

If you are familiar with the other carbine Hi-Point makes, you will find no surprises in this one. It's the same simple blowback action, with 10-round single-stack magazines (which are specific to .30 Super Carry, and not interchangeable with 9mm).

Potentially someone may be willing to scavenge the abandoned cases after they come across an elusive .30SC user at a public range, lol. Would cut down .30SW cases work better for 7.65mm French than .32 S&W Long cases with turned down rims? I get that the converted revolver cases weren't always trouble-free.

Have you ever noticed that when you hear the word Hi-Point you always hear snickering!!! 🤔☺️😆🤠👍

Paul Beck

Probably, but Starline makes the 7.65mm French brass so I don't know that there would be much reason to.

Forgotten Weapons

Any thoughts on whether cut down 30SC brass could be loaded to 7.65FL pressures and work?

Michael Quinn

Ive shot 3 Hi point carbines over the years and they just work. All 3 of them owned by new gun owners. Small price point I guess they get grabbed up.

They only way they could get Ian to play with a Hi-Point: “Do you know that it can use your obscure French ammo in it?”

Chairman

You are a funny guy

EyeBall

Awesome! Yup it works now. Thanks for being responsive awesome video, equally as stoked for the carbine.

You shouldn't be now...long story.

How am I getting ads on this video if we're paying to not get ads?

It's chambered in .30 Super Carry, which is ad-hoc backwards-compatible (unintentionally) with 7.65mm French.

Forgotten Weapons

Let me make sure I understand, this is the same caliber as the French M1935A pistol? Which is based on the Pedersen Devise cartrdige of WWI?

George E. Bush, Jr

I’ll give it about a year and that will be a dead caliber,It’s ridiculously hard to get a new cartridge to catch on

Scott

good about the calibers that in can run both but what's this far forward rail iś suppose to do under the barrel...... ? 10rd is a minus for sure.

Guido Schriewer

Oscar worthy acting here. With French long being lower pressure, I'm surprised the .30 super carry gun cycles reliably with it?

David C

My experience is that although a PITA to break down and clean, Highpoint carbines are accurate and work.
