I also think stefan and valerie have more chemistry in th short clips that we get this episode. steroline scenes always feel very much like just friends

2026-03-16 23:54:54 +0000 UTCI think Caroline knows her worth and that Stefan cares about her, but Valerie and Stefan were torn apart and didn't choose to stop seeing each other. To find out the first person you loved is still alive and got pregnant with your child is a HUGE thing even through it happened a long time ago. I think its natural and valid for her to be worried he would want to get back together with Valerie, considering their history. I hate Valerie's pettiness trying to make Caroline jealous, but her backstory definitely makes her the most interesting heretic. As someone who's never shipped Steroline but likes their friendship, I actually felt way more chemistry between Stefan and Valerie in this episode than Steroline so far.
