This. Klaus has not done anything out of his character. He acted exactly how I expected him too. If anything I was rooting for him lol. I get the sadness over the loss of Gia though I didn’t personally care. She was just a distraction for Elijah. To Klaus she’s a dispensable pawn in his chess game. And pawns get sacrificed when you’re playing chess

The character development he has had is because of how he views his family around him and how he views people close to him, not about saving the damn world or being a good person. Klaus has always been consistent and when that family betrays him, he lashes out.

In his head he doesn’t care about the collateral because in his head they daggered him, and was going to let hope grow up without him. Klaus in season one told Hayley that he wants her in hopes life and wasn’t just going to take her, yet she was going to do it to him . We can throw in the argument that she was scared of hopes safety but what was Jackson and his bow going to do in the long run with Daliah or the thousands of enemies the mikelsons has . I think Klaus was less angry about the dagger and more about the fact that he felt betrayed by Hayley as well as his family for allowing it to happen as well as willing to let hope grow up without him. I think his actions are towards the people who were going to keep him from his child , not family. So ima defend him for this one✌️😔
