Glad y'all enjoyed this one too!
As I understand it, Tina barely appears in this film mainly due to real-world scheduling issues (COVID-era delays played a big role), so the story explains it by having her working at the American Ministry of Magic.
As for the amulet, it breaks because Dumbledore chooses to protect Credence instead of trying to harm Grindelwald—once their intentions and beliefs fully diverge, the blood pact can no longer hold, allowing them to finally duel.
From what I've come across online, they also didn’t try to make the new Grindelwald look like Johnny Depp's version on purpose. The filmmakers wanted a calmer, more subtle version of the character—less flashy and more believable as someone who could manipulate powerful people. Matching Depp’s look might’ve distracted from the recast, so they leaned into a clean slate instead of visual continuity.
It does kind of suck that we won’t get the additional two films they originally planned, though who knows, maybe someday they’ll decide to revisit this era or story in some form down the line🤞🏾
