Yea I liked the og Finn well enough but he was barely a character in tvd more like a plot device here he actually has depth and character reasonings. Even kol was in more episodes in tvd but they only gave him any character depths in that 3 episode arc before he died his entire appearance in s3 was just the another original vampire who was decently funny here they gave him a lot more depth
