Two Friends Discuss Chemistry

These are always a lot of fun to make; easy to write, lots of jokes to cram in, and I get to draw some fun little characters without having to worry about it looking super polished. I think this particular iteration improves on it by placing the background gag of the funeral; it gives a little bit of flavor to our two characters. Instead of being empty talking heads for whatever topic I have on my mind, we now have them characterized as this talkative little duo, oblivious to social norms in their obsession with discussing minutae. I would like to do additional background gags like this in the future. Also, the virginium joke? An all timer.
In the original Bazingum panel, there was a third scientist, making a much more obvious an intentional soy face, based on the infamous darksydephil orgasm face. It adds to the intended joke, but felt a little too gross and meme-y, so I dropped it. The hamburger joke also originally was going to have the two characters saying "McSingle" as a stand in for a regular hamburger a lot, which I thought was sorta funny, but couldn't fit it in. Oh well.

The "don't correct me" asterisk, while excellent on its own, couples perfectly with the stranger giving them a sideways glance. Since the setting of the funeral hasn't been revealed yet, it looks as though he's about to butt in with an "um, actually" but is then deterred by the asterisk and its message. The photo of the 9-patty burger leads me to think that it's from a real ad/promotion. If so, it should definitely be on the MacElroy Brothers' "Munch Squad," even if retrospectively. That thought makes me wonder what you think of MBMBaM... I'm guessing you hate them, and if so, you could definitely make a comic on your take. Also, side note, Patreon puts unhideable arrows on multi-image posts (at least on mobile), which sometimes cover up text or essential parts of the cartoon. I know you don't control the platform, of course, but maybe they would listen to content creators? You can't be the only creator whose content runs into such issues on the platform.
