Shading poll. + new Bluesky and Youtube
Added 2025-09-29 17:45:34 +0000 UTCJust curious on how you lot feel about the shading I have added into the most recent animations.
Personally I quite like it, make my animations look more proffessional. However, it is a bit more work and I have to be careful with how much I animate to make sure I get it all done on time.
So, let me know what you think.
Also,
Made a Blusky account for those that are interested in that and will be posting stuff there:

My old Youtube got taken down. I tried to get it back but those at youtube wouldn't let me.
So, I have made a new account where I'm just going to keep my animations unlisted and just link to a playlist with all the animations in for those who are interested in that:

Feel free to share that around. It is missing some more problematic ones. (Like the Rias animation for example) But i'll be adding animations as they come out publically.

I think the shading gives the whole thing a little more depth and makes the videos look better and also if it's not quite feasible in terms of time, I have to mention that the two current animations have shown that it still delivers fantastic results but it is up to you

Animation is hard work, and adding shading on top of detailed art could lead to burnout if it feels like a requirement, which I feel it isn't. Your animations are already incredible as it is. Besides, I think shading is not a requirement for the quality of animation. Even traditional, hand-drawn animation would lack shading, since adding it would become a bigger workload, and it still gets to look amazing.
