I listen to this all the time and golly, 1) when she first repeats herself telling the listener to come closer, 2) “That was not a request”, and 3) the transition between #2 and the whispered praise are all just so fabulously nuanced. How you deliver “That was not a request” in particular gives me shivers every time, brilliant work.

On one hand she's an evil vampire who regularly takes the lives of human beings and is keeping the listener captive, against their will, and regularly torturing them. On the other hand she cares about and protects her human pet, and sometimes can have very sweet moments like this where her pet can forget about all the suffering at the hands of their mistress and the vile nature of vampires. She feels like a villain that at the same time I want to be with but also desperately get away from!
