I’ve shot so many images with Regina over time, and these are from my first book, “The Graces”.
In short order:
The first is from a Swedish forest.
The second, third, and seventh are from a small island called Fur, located in Limfjorden, Denmark, and shot at sunset.
The fourth is from Bulbjerg in Jylland, featuring a sunrise shot.
Number five is taken from Mols Bjerge National Park, specifically Jernhatten. The background is the exposed tree roots of a massive oak tree.
The sixth image depicts the “Danish Desert,” which includes a massive dune known as Råbjerg Mile in Jylland.
With the possible exception of number six, you can see it’s more about the landscape than the model. However, the model is a focal point, making it more interesting to spend a little time visually exploring the surrounding nature.
And that is usually my goal when photographing in nature:
Find a visually interesting spot, and improve it by placing a model as a focal point and scale.
