Courtyard Beacon
Added 2025-04-01 14:00:08 +0000 UTCThis session with Wiana was captured during my Art Nude On Location project with the Wiana model in Lanzarote a few years ago.
Creating video tutorials involves many moving parts, and I wanted to ensure that everything would function properly after being disassembled for air travel.
I had three cameras on tripods, power banks, timecode units, three microphones, a sound recorder, and several cables.
We set up in the courtyard of our Airbnb on the first day, to get everything to work before any excursions.
As anticipated, it took some time to assemble and get everything to work, so we didn’t start shooting until after 11:30.
This presented the challenge of the sun being quite high in the sky.
To have it strike at a more favorable angle, and unfortunately, with no power to move it around at will, I asked her to tilt her head upward and, in many photos, lean back.
