The Bonneville shoreline is not at the same elevation everywhere.

So that's the first part where I show that it isn't. I want to get more measurements from a bunch more locations. And then explain why they are different.
Spoilers: isostatic rebound.
I'm going to need some silly putty. A lot of silly putty. Lol

I know rocks flex, loosing the weight of a lake probably causes shifts.

I corrected them based on a known reference altitude. The GPS measurements seem to be all over the place. It can be higher than the barometer and then lower after just walking a short distance. I think the resolution of the model it uses is just very bad. Perhaps a stand alone device would be better?

Did you correct the altitude measurements by the local QNH? (should be easy to find, even retrospectively if there's an airport or weather station nearby). Otherwise i'm curious to see if the GPS shows the same difference. Very interesting anyways, looking forward to the continuation.
