The sweet Loulou models were photographed on location at Kullaberg in the low sun a couple of hours before sunset. Of course, putting her on a background of black rock doesn't hurt her overall look.
And in case you didn’t know, midsummer sunsets are very long in the Nordics.
This place is only 1100 km/750 miles from the polar circle. Near the polar circle, there will be a midnight sun in summer, meaning the sun never dips under the horizon. In our parts, the trajectory is far from up/down, and we effectively only have about six hours of night, and none where it’s completely dark.
This means the sun's trajectory is very indirect when setting, prolonging the process. Thus, we enjoy very long-lasting sunsets, unlike places nearer the equator.
The wind was not heavy, but we decided to partially obscure the face with Loulou’s hair as it added some pleasant emotion and tenderness to the images.
