2024-10-30 17:07:35 +0000 UTCWell yes , this episode does have a lot of sex . I actually think that the intimacy shown between Claire and Jamie is portrayed exceptionally. Directing was made by a women so .... I do think the scenes take on the "female gaze" , and I've seen other guy reactors to this series ( not like there are lots) . Most just brush past it , or they sit silently ( and uncomfortably IMO) during it , don't really comment much on it . To be fair it's kind of entertaining seeing how they react to it . I also belive intimacy scenes in Outlander are some of the greatest in western TV, I would even dare to say no other television series or show has made a sex scene as appealing as the ones in the show. Also chemistry between the main to actors is on point . So I find it funny that you commented on thus particular aspect . I've read the books and I love them , but I have to admit this episode surpassed the chapter that is based off. Even without the sex I loved the way the narration focused more on the events that took place before ( flashbacks / time jumps ) and after the wedding. ( present time)
