2025-04-14 05:20:06 +0000 UTCGood catch by Josh saying Minerva's cruelty didn't come from nowhere and a lot of it is likely Jiemma (her father)'s fault. Imagine being raised by that guy. By no means does this excuse or justify her actions and she's still a horrible person nonetheless, but practically speaking characters like the Oracion Seis and Laxus did a lot worse. Evil is bred Episodes 228-230 are definitely a slog to get through in my opinion, but the pacing picks up again pretty soon. I also appreciate you editing that bit with Mest out of the reaction, those "jokes" never really landed for me and just felt like Mashima appealing to the narrative that grew in the West that he's a pdf, instead of there being any actual substance behind it. Looking forward to the next 2 episodes! 232 especially, that's a big one
