2025-01-30 04:52:27 +0000 UTCfuture lucy lost her right hand, you can see her in the beginning taking the cap off a pen with her teeth instead, natsu mentioned her being lighter and she asks lucy to see her guildmark because lucy’s right hand is where her guildmark is. she asked to see it a final time bc like 95% of the guild from her time is dead natsu overhears it all, thats why he sees the flashback of episode 2 when she tells natsu about her guildmark. its a lot more obvious in the manga, the anime made it super vague

The second was when the Master tried to sacrifice himself to save all the guild members. The third was when Lucy sacrificed herself to save Lucy. But the outcome of Nats' tears was different. Erza and Master, who had tried to sacrifice earlier, were able to be safe by their will and actions, but Lucy could not save or revive them. The tears before the worst moments are likely to be an incomparable loss and sadness between the tears that have already happened..😭

The more I rewatch that episode, the more I realise that Fairy Tail would have annihilated him. The subtitles hugely messed up because he said "I CAN'T win", not "I didn't win". Now, future Lucy... that gets me crying everytime. It's like Happy said, she's still Lucy. Lucy from a few days in the future, but still Lucy, who lost absolutely everything she had, but still persisted for the sake of saving another reality. How she could continue going forward after witnessing everyone she cares about die is beyond me. And Natsu... now THIS is where that comment of "pay close attention to Natsu and Lucy's relationship" comes in. "I'll burn your destiny to ash", tears and rage

Happy's VA did such a good job, makes me tear up every time! 😢 I remember when this chapter come out in the manga, it was pretty shocking cause even tho it was Future Lucy (no consequences to her death); it was still pretty surreal since SHE'S STILL LUCY. Also solidified the NaLu ship for me.

The evening 'Lucy' Jellal was following on the 3rd (before Mest interrupted him) was Rogue Future Lucy lost her right hand, which is why her handwriting was awful (cause she had to write with her left hand), that’s also why Natsu said she felt lighter than present Lucy
